Who this covers

Villa Rak is a private villa in Danah Bay, on Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This policy covers the website at villarak.com, inquiries, bookings, the guest area, and the newsletter. The contact for privacy questions is stay@villarak.com.

We are a house for stays, not a hotel chain and not a property sales office. If you enquire or book, you are dealing with the villa directly.

Name, email, and phone

The inquiry form and the booking form ask for your name, email, and phone or WhatsApp number, plus the dates and the number of guests. We store that so we can reply, hold the dates you asked for, and send arrival details after a stay is confirmed.

The booking record also keeps the quote, the rate you chose (flexible or non-refundable), payment status, and messages you typed. Staff who run the house can see that record. We do not sell the list.

If you join the list in the footer, we store the email address you typed, and your name if you gave one. We use it for occasional notes about the villa. There is no separate marketing network behind that box.

To come off the list, email stay@villarak.com and say so. We remove the address from the newsletter store.

Payments

Card payments go through Stripe. Stripe receives the card details on their checkout page. Villa Rak does not store your full card number. We keep the booking amount, whether it was a deposit or the full stay, the Stripe reference when a payment is confirmed, and the payment history on the booking.

If Stripe is not connected, the site cannot mark a stay paid from an unverified request. A confirmed payment is one Stripe has accepted, or a demo confirmation used only when no Stripe secret is configured for that server.

Passport and ID

The guest area, after a stay is confirmed, has a pre-arrival form. One field is a link you paste for a passport or ID folder, for example a private cloud link you control. We store that link with your arrival notes. We do not ask you to upload a passport scan into this website.

Share only a link you are willing for the house team to open so they can complete arrival. Email stay@villarak.com if you want that link removed after the stay.

Analytics

Google Analytics and a Meta pixel are optional. They are not added to the page until you accept the consent banner. If those IDs are not set on the build, the banner is not shown and the scripts are not loaded.
